I’m a dad from the Midwest, raising two daughters, and I have a problem... I'm terminally curious. I absolutely love being a dad, sharing life and learning every day with my girls. I learned early that taking things apart is the fastest way to understand them, and I never really stopped. I’m mechanically inclined, technically obsessive, creatively driven, and outdoorsy without being precious about it. I’m happiest when I’m building, designing, or learning something new. I fish, hike, garden, birdwatch, take "photos" with an aging Canon Rebel, and countless other ambitions. This site is a place to share ideas, experiments, projects, and creations, guided by the belief that if something can be learned, it’s worth learning.
